Of the 13 swimmers, medals were won by Ellie Bamber, Martha Boult, Becky Sheldon and newcomer Adam Sherwood. Sharks two relay teams won both first and second place in the relay event.

The following weekend, 5 swimmers made their way to Llandudno where in spite of the high standard set by team GB swimmers there, Alan Bamber managed to slice 6 seconds off his personal best for the 200m individual medley and Tom Hand took 7 seconds off his best for the 100m breaststroke. Chapel-en-le-Frith Train Station

Penultimate Friday of July 2010 ...

Visited Chapel-en-le-Frith last night. Travelled down on the 199 Airport Bus and had a walk around the Capital of the High Peak before catching the train back to Buxton. The photo is one I took from the train, by all signs today (Friday) is going to be a very reasonable day indeed after the tumultuous few days of monsoon like weather conditions.

Titillating Tuesday ...

Tuesday sure is a titillating kinda day... spontaneous yet conforming to the 'norm' in many ways.
The Fair gives way to the Market Stalls, the rain persists, the Swan and Goose continue to get it on and there are Antique Cars aplenty in the Pavilion Gardens.
Yep ... there is a double-dip recession in progress and nobody's fool is alive, well and kicking in a river near you ...
