High Peak Sharks disability swim team are enjoying a busy season:
10 Sharks swimmers took part in the British Long Distance Swimming Association one-hour postal swim event earlier in the year with winning times from Alan Bamber, Rebecca Sheldon, Ellie Bamber, Emma Dawson, James Moss and Amy Fennell.
13 swimmers are off to the North West regional DSE Championships in Liverpool on 11th July and 5 swimmers have already achieved the qualifying times for the Swim Wales competition in Llandudno on 17th July. The 5 are Alan Bamber, Ellie Bamber, Travis Hyland, Rebecca Sheldon and Martha Boult.
Not content with these performances in the pool, Sharks, under the leadership of Ellie Bamber, have turned their hand to boccia and have completed their first year in the National Pan Disability Boccia League.
