Paris and New York Marathons 2010

I have decided to participate in both the Paris and New York Marathons in 2010 - never have I entered a Marathon before, but the "Challenge" is too great and I have made enquiries this morning to have my details registered for both Events next year.

NSPCC Poetry Book Launch




Patricia Ashman put's pen to paper ...


Patricia Ashman, a retired Teacher from Ambergate has put her English skills to raise money for Charity. Patricia has written a book called ' How could anybody ask for more ? ' to raise funds for the NSPCC.


This is the fifth book the 74-year old has written for the children's charity since 2000


Grandmother Patricia said, "I've always given money to the NSPCC because I've been so involved with children. Everybody says they would like to do more, so this is just my little way of helping."


The Book will be officially launched on Tuesday 8th September 2009. Copies are available by writing to :

Great Scottish Run 2009

My Son, also participated, it was his first ever Half Marathon and I am so proud that he completed the Course and helped me greatly in just being there. Well done Greg !

Great Scottish Run 2009

Well, arrived in Glasgow this afternoon to be ready to participate in tomorrow's Half Marathon Event of the Great Scottish Run !

The weather forecast is light showers followed by heavy showers, so it look's like 'reasonable' conditions.....as long as the wind is not too strong !

Scotland 2 Macedonia 0 Well done Scotland !
