As December is almost upon us, I have been generally tidying my place up, sort of 'out with the old, and planningfor the new'. One thing I have promised myself in the New Year is a new automatic washing machine, the reduction in VAT has made this even more attractive, it's just a matter of waiting until I see the machine I want at a better price than present.

Maybe the January Sales will turn up something ?

I certainly hope so.

The wind is relentlessly blowing and seemingly blowing some arctic weather towards here this weekend where temperatures are expected to drop to -4 Centigrade !

All the Christmas lights are being put in place in town, in fact the 'switch-on' is this evening !

Think I'll stay in the warm :-)

Well the weekend weather is atrocious, it is horribly wet & windy and the immediate forecast is not any better !

Just listening to the Radio, "Sounds of the 60's" ~ how come so many good songs eminated from that era ? They certainly have stood the test of time, not like today's songs that are instantly forgettable.

Well, I got my Combi-Boiler moved yesterday and the guys made a smashing job of re-positioning it - I'm really pleased with the result !

This morning I had a new Gas meter fitted as apparently there is a battery inside these meters that lasts only 10 years - mine was due to expire, so a new one got fitted this morning.

11th hour of the 11th day ~ we will remember them. Armistice Day.

Phew !

What a week to get through, the US President has been decided and a great vaccuum is felt in the media coverage, probably until January 20th 2009 !

Other than that, the weather has gone a bit milder and the general mood is either improving or it is becoming more familiar !

I hope things can get back to 'normal' after the new President of the USA is announced as it takes away the spotlight of the "real" issues in the news, everything get's overshadowed by the media attention honing in on the 'big' picture whilst everything else is sidelined.

After weeks of this campaigning news, it becomes a turn-off.

May the Big-Top be taken down and the Circus Act can begin performing their 'promises' made to the electorate !

Typical monday morning, it's dark, cold, wet and not very enthusiastically motivating !

The weekend seemed rather long somehow but it feels too short now monday is here ... reality bites !!

This is the time of year I don't particularly like, all the expectations of Christmas & New Year simmering under the surface whilst dealing with the day-to-day 'drudge' of bad weather and very few daylight hours.

It must have something to do with me being an Aquarian, I could easily hibernate for a few months until 2009 arrives.

Watched a documentary on TV the other night about Neil Young and it reminded me just how much I like his music though what the documentary gave me was more than his music, it cemented my view on Neil Young being.... well, Neil Young, an individual who put's the music first always.
